Two people have been killed and a woman left fighting for life after horror car crash on the A45 in Northamptonshire, involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a grey Ford Puma
Two people have been killed and a woman left fighting for life after a horror car crash on a busy A-road.
The crash involving a a blue Ford Fiesta and a grey Ford Puma happened on the A45 in Northamptonshire at around 11.45am. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman died later in hospital. Another woman has sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital today.
Police are appealing to any drivers who may have witnessed the crash or saw either car on the road to come forward with information. They are also asking for any footage that was caught on dash-cams, and highlighted that the road will have been busy at the time of the incident. A statement from Northamptonshire Police read: “At around 11.45am yesterday, a blue Ford Fiesta and a grey Ford Puma were in collision on the A45 between the junction for Raunds and the A14 at Thrapston.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man sadly died at the scene and a woman sadly later died in hospital. A second woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and remains in hospital today,
“The A45 would have been busy at the time of the incident and investigators are now appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or who has dash-cam footage of it or of either vehicle beforehand to get in touch.
