Two day road closure in Warrington to allow United Utilities to rectify defective reinstatements
A village centre road at Lymm is set to be closed for two days in the new year to allow United Utilities to carry out remedial works to defective reinstatements.
Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Bridgewater Street from its junction with Eagle Brow to its junction with Legh Street.
The Order will be effective from 15th January 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 days, however, will be in place as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Eagle Brow, Brookfield Road, Whitbarrow Road, and vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out remedial works to defective reinstatements.
