TRAVEL ALERT – Flooded roads closed in Malvern and Upton for the Monday rush hour
SEVERAL roads across Malvern and Upton-upon-Severn could still be closed for the Monday morning rush hour because of the deluge over the weekend.
The area, and the rest of Worcestershire, was battered by heavy rain and high winds which has led to flooding in a number of areas.
Driving through floodwater can be extremely dangerous for drivers and can potentially write off vehicles.
The roads that are closed
Hanley Road, Upton – the B4211 is closed between Hanley Road Car Park and Brotheridge Green Lane. A diversion is in place – drivers are uirged to follow the black circle symbol or click here to see the diversion.
Brotheridge Green, Hanley Castle – Brotheridge Green Lane is shut between Hanley Road and New Street. The Upton Diversion via Hanley Swan can be seen here.
Mill Lane, Hanley Castle – New Street Upton is closed from The Old Fire Station To Brotheridge Green. Click here to see the diversion on the map.
