Tragedy as man dies after being found in Dewsbury street – police statement
He was sadly pronounced dead in hospital
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man died after he was found in a Dewsbury street and rushed to hospital.
He was found in Alexandra Crescent, Dewsbury, at 7.55pm yesterday. There were concerns for his safety.
He was then rushed to hospital by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) but was later pronounced dead. West Yorkshire Police (WYP) has since been investigating.
The force say his death isn’t being treated at this stage. A WYP spokesperson said: “Police were called to Alexandra Crescent, Dewsbury, at 7.55pm yesterday to a report of a concern for safety for a man.
“The man had been found by members of the public and was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased. Enquiries are being made into the death but at this stage it is not being treated as suspicious.”
