Ipswich town
The team anticipates the player’s departure as Ipswich Town enters the picture to sign him.
Kévin Denkey is expected to leave Cercle Brugge before the summer transfer window closes, and the list of teams reportedly showing interest is only becoming longer. Now that Ipswich Town has been included, there is undoubtedly hope that the newly promoted team can provide the necessary funds, considering the financial opportunities available in the Premier League. With nine games played so far this season, the 23-year-old striker has three goals and two assists. He scored 28 goals in 39 games in the previous season, which is why there is transfer interest in him.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, the sale has not gone as smoothly as anticipated. Earlier in the summer, it was reported that Lille, Real Sociedad, and Bayer Leverkusen were interested, but none of them made a bid for Cercle Brugge. The Belgian club is rumored to be seeking a minimum of €15 million for their striker; although they would love €20 million or almost that amount, the evidence seems to point to a different outcome. According to Pieter-Jan Calcoen, there is interest from Ipswich Town, but Cercle doesn’t think the player will stay.
