The men, aged 32, 26 and 22, will be reported to prosecutors.

Three arrests were made at Celtic Park today as Brendan Rodgers’ side extended their lead over rivals Rangers to five points with a 3-0 win.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into disorder and the use of pyrotechnics at the stadium, in the east end of Glasgow, during this afternoon’s derby.

The antics from fans in the stands saw officers arresting three people, one for possession of a flare, and two for possession of other prohibited items.

The force said the three men will now be reported to prosecutors as a probe continues.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with possession of pyrotechnics during a football match between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
