Nottingham Forest and Lyon engaged in some financial gymnastics earlier this summer in an attempt to push the Reds over the Premier League’s PSR barrier, which all clubs must meet. The Reds traded Moussa Niakhate to the Ligue 1 club for £28 million before selling Orel Mangala for £15 million.

Mangala is expected to sign on loan with Everton, but Lyon is eager to unload some of their players, which might assist Forest. The Reds are aggressively seeking more players before the transfer deadline on Friday, and Forest may be considering a move for another player.

Nottingham Forest wants Ernest Nuamah. L’Equipe reports that Lyon could cash in on the winger, with Everton also interested in signing the Ghanaian. Forest added Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa to their wide options this summer, but it appears that more forwards are being sought. Nuamah has been with Lyon since last summer, when he joined from Nordsjaelland, Denmark.

In his first season with the club, he appeared 35 times, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Lyon is expecting £25 million from any potential suitors interested in completing a transaction, therefore he may be leaving France. Two Saudi Arabian clubs have made approaches for the player, but he has ruled out a move there this summer. Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan is a big supporter of Nuamah, calling him ‘outstanding’ in June of last year after being called up to the Ghana squad.
