Norfolk police make arrest following Today’s morning bank robbery
Norfolk, Virginia (NPD): A man has been detained and charged by Norfolk Police in relation to a bank heist in Wards Corner.
Due to a report of a robbery, police were called to the Truist Bank branch at 245 E Little Creek Road at 9:35 a.m. The suspect had already left when the officers arrived, but they soon found him in the City of Portsmouth, where he was placed under arrest.
As a result of this investigation, Lemar A. Veale Jr., 24, of Norfolk, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm, and threats in writing.
Veale Jr. is currently being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail.
