Newcastle United key player to miss Monday clash against Chelsea
It was revealed today that Kieran Trippier, the right defender for Newcastle, has a calf injury and will miss our match on Monday night.
Taking everything into account, that gives us a significant increase. One of the main components of Eddie Howe’s Magpies’ offensive strategy is Trippier, a talented player. They will miss out on one of the top set piece takers in the nation and be far less dangerous down the right without him.
Even though there is just one player, we will seize any advantage we can.
This week, we will learn about our own injuries a little sooner. Instead of the customary Friday press conference at 1pm, it will take place tomorrow at 12.45pm.
That’s especially odd because the game is on Monday night, and since there will be three full days between the conference and the game day, we might actually hear from the coach less accurately than normal.
