Mum who died in Aylesbury after horror crash that left three children fighting for their lives pictured and named

Amy Evans died at the scene of the crash near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and has been described as a “wonderful mother”

Three children were hurt in a horrific crash that claimed the life of a mother.

Amy Evans lost her life in a collision involving her Ford Focus, a Land Rover Discovery, and a VW Golf near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

The children were rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and two of them have now been discharged.

Ms Evans’ family have paid tribute to her and say she was a wonderful mother who will be greatly missed.

They said: “We are absolutely devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our beautiful Amy.

“Amy was a wonderful mother, partner to Jack, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend who brought joy to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by so many.

 

“We would like to thank the members of the public who helped at the scene and the Thames Valley Police and the Ambulance Service for the wonderful support which they have provided to the family.

“We would also like to thank the nursing teams in the Accident and Emergency, High Dependency and Intensive Care units at John Radcliffe Hospital for the faultless care that they provided to the children who were so seriously injured in this tragic accident.”

The driver of the Land Rover Discovery was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver and passenger in the VW Golf were uninjured.

Thames Valley Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
