Man dies after car crashes into railings in Horwich
A man has died and a woman was seriously injured after their car hit railings in Bolton.
No other vehicle was involved in the crash, which happened at the junction of Winter Hey Lane and Chorley New Road in Horwich in the early hours.
Police said the couple were taken to hospital where the man, aged 23, later died. The woman, 21, is in a critical condition.
Anyone who saw the Toyota Yaris crash is asked to contact police.
The junction is currently closed as is as the junction of Chorley New Road with Ramsbottom Road.
