A 22-year-old man is fighting for his life at Aintree Hospital after a crash. The incident occurred on Palacefields Avenue in Runcorn at around 7.02pm on Sunday, December

The crash involved a white Peugeot Partner van and a red electric off-road motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Runcorn, was taken to Aintree Hospital with injuries which are believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 35-year-old man, was uninjured in the incident. Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the incident to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Simon Degg, of the Force’s Roads and Crime Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding this incident and we are now looking for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have dashcam footage to come forward.
