M25 Dartford Crossing recap after multi-vehicle crash causes severe delays

It is reported that there were three vehicles involved

There were severe delays on the Dartford Crossing this morning (December 11) after there has been an incident involving three vehicles. The delays were impacting traffic heading southbound.

The incident occurred between junction 2 A2 (Darenth Interchange) to junction 3 M20 / A20 (Swanley Interchange). There was congestion all the way back to junction 30, the A13 at Lakeside, back over the QE2 Bridge.

There were severe delays at the bridge and this was set to be the case for the forseeable future. All traffic was temporarily held at about 6:40am, but this was released at 7am.

Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted in relation to this incident. Drivers were urged to avoid the area where possible.
