Police say road is expected to be closed for “a number of hours”

Closures are in place on the A433 Tetbury Road near Cirencester following a serious collision. Police have confirmed emergency services are at the scene of a collision involving two vehicles at around 9.15am this morning and the road closure is expected to last “for a number of hours”, suggesting the seriousness of the incident.

Motorists are being urged to either prepare for long waits or to find alternative routes. A spokesperson for Gloucester Police said: “Road closures are in place following a serious collision near Cirencester this morning

“Emergency services were called shortly after 9.15am with a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the A433 Tetbury Road near to the Thames Head Inn.

“Closures are in the place on the stretch of road between Cirencester and Tetbury and will remain in place for a number of hours. Motorists are asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area while emergency services remain at the scene.”
