Leeds United fans have plenty of reasons to be upbeat as they prepare for their September fixtures. Following a rough start to the season, the team’s defensive structure and organisation have greatly improved.

After their humiliating defeat at Middlesbrough, the Whites needed to get back to fundamentals. Whatever Daniel Farke and his coaching staff did after Boro has worked well, with United earning three consecutive clean sheets.

Are United currently firing on all cylinders? No. Will they have to move up another level or two in the following week? Undoubtedly, as three of the next five matches will be played away from Elland Road.

Large Ramazani, Manor Solomon, Ao Tanaka, and Isaac Schmidt are Farke’s four new signings. Farke will be hoping that the quartet swiftly adjusts to their new surroundings and establishes themselves as crucial players in his team. Solomon made an immediate impact against Hull, superbly setting up Mateo Joseph’s opener, while Ramazani and Tanaka both performed admirably after coming off the bench. Those players will adjust to Farke’s style of play over time. Farke’s offensive options will be boosted when Daniel James and Patrick Bamford return from injury. The two were ruled out of the Hull game due to hamstring injuries.
