“He will be lost” – Warning sent to Aston Villa player by coach, needs to get act together

Jhon Durán has had a strong start to the season, following a rough summer where he pushed for a move to West Ham United.

While Aston Villa were adamantly opposed to a sale, had the Hammers made a large enough bid, they would have got the Colombian, given Villa’s financial difficulties at the time.

Since then, the 20-year-old has netted seven goals in just over 400 minutes.

A number of Durán’s former coaches have spoken to the media in Colombia. Aston Villa signed the forward from Chicago Fire, who had previously played for Envigado.

Alberto Suárez coached the boy there and encountered some issues with him. Indeed, some coaches have recently stated that, while they enjoyed teaching Durán as he developed, it was not always easy.

Durán scored one of the goals in Aston Villa’s 2-0 victory over Bologna on Tuesday evening. Unai Emery then took him off and he had a tantrum.

Suárez believes the player must stop doing it or his progress in Europe would be halted.

According to Colombia’s Noticias Caracol, he stated, “We are really interested in the football player and the human being, when the conflictive ones surface. We must assist Jhon Jáder; as individuals, we do not devote enough time to him in training, and if we normalise this (his outburst following Emery’s adjustment), they will lose him, he will be lost, and Europe will not tolerate him. There are several close examples, such as Balotelli, who removed himself from the football elite as a result of his actions.

“He has the talent; he is ahead in football, but not as a person.Above all, he is a sensitive human being and a lovely person, but he is learning, especially now that he perceives the media’s power amplified by 1,000. I repeat: Jhon Jáder is not a horrible person; rather, he is a rebellious young man. He is only 20 years old but has lived for our football as if he were 30. “All of this is complicated for a Colombian.”

Alberto Suárez also said that he is in communication with the Aston Villa player, attempting to assist him keep his feet on the ground and, presumably, calm down a little.
