A Leeds United supporter was taken to the hospital by ambulance after tumbling from the upper level stand at Stamford Bridge during the team’s FA Cup fifth-round away match against Chelsea.

Eight minutes into the match against the Premier League team last night, Leeds supporters celebrated the game’s first goal when the incident occurred.

The upper level of the Shed End, where the Leeds supporters were seated, saw wild scenes of jubilation following Mateo Joseph’s goal. One of the thousands of fans seated in the lower seating was injured during the festivities.

Medics quickly rushed to the scene and the fan was quickly taken to the nearest hospital. The game was not halted as medical personnel dealt with the situation with a large number of staff involved, including police and stewards.

“The incident is being investigated and is in the hands of the emergency services,” the football team Leeds United said in a statement.

The man’s family has been notified, and they are presently awaiting an update on his status, a police official stated.

For the match, where Leeds and the Blues have a fierce rivalry dating back many years, around 5,000 Leeds supporters traveled from Yorkshire to West London. In the end, Chelsea won 3-2 to win the cup competition. Conor Gallagher, an England international, won the match by scoring the winning goal in extra time.
