Cleveland Police arrested a man after fatal collision on A174 in Redcar
A man has been arrested after a cyclist died from serious injuries following a collision on the A174 in Redcar.
Police were called to reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a van shortly after 07:00 BST on the westbound carriageway of the road.
Andrew Hutton, 45, from Redcar, was seriously injured and died at the scene.
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Cleveland Police.
