Celtic’s upcoming £20 million pay cheque has a rival player in “shock” because to the atmosphere.
If Paulo Bernardo maintains his present level of play, John Hartson believes he can become Celtic’s next £20 million star.
After a successful loan with Benfica the previous season, the Portuguese midfielder made his way back to Parkhead as a permanent Hoops player in the summer after the club worked out a £3.5 million deal.
Arne Engels and Luke McCowan, two recent additions, are vying for his position as the third cog in the midfield machine, and he is expected to face competition from them for the role.
But Bernardo didn’t hurt himself with his strong performance against Rangers, and he won’t be easily defeated. Hartson claims that if he continues in his current direction, he might be the next man to move on for a substantial salary. “Brendan likes signing players that he feels he can improve,” the hoops hero stated. On the training field, Brendan excels, and he enjoys working with them.
