Major road closure in Ayrshire as rescue attends serious scene
EMERGENCY crews have rushed to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on a busy commuter road near Ayr.
Services are currently in attendance at the incident which took place during rush hour on the A77 southbound around Symington on Friday.
One lane is currently blocked as a result of the collision. No update has yet been provided on the condition of those involved.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Friday, we were called to a report of a three vehicle crash on the A77, near Symington.
“Emergency services are in attendance. One lane is blocked southbound.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
