Following the discovery of a woman’s body inside a residence, we can confirm that emergency services are now in Tranmere.

When emergency personnel arrived at a house on Harrowby Road yesterday, Thursday, shortly after 11 p.m., they discovered a 40-year-old lady who was unconscious.

Before paramedics came and declared her dead at the spot, officers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

To properly identify the woman and inform her next of kin, investigations are still underway.

Three Wirral residents have been detained on suspicion of murder: two 45-year-old women and a 47-year-old man. They are currently being held by the police.

The death is presently being considered as unexplained, and the inquiry is still in its very early phases.

A post-mortem examination will take place to establish her cause of death.

A scene is in place on Harrowby Road this morning as part of the ongoing investigation and officers will be carrying out house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.

Detective Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said: “An investigation is underway with officers carrying out enquires in the area to establish exactly what happened.

“While we have already made three arrests, our specialist officers remain at the scene as we carry out forensic examinations and review any CCTV footage in the area.

“If you live on Harrowby Road and have any doorbell or CCTV footage from around 10pm yesterday that may have captured what happened or heard anything suspicious, then please get in touch with us so we can continue our enquiries.”
