A motorbike accident killed one person in North Augusta.
North Augusta, South Carolina (WRDW/WAGT) According to officials, two motorcyclists collided on Jefferson Davis Highway, killing one and severely injuring the other. According to the Coroner’s Office, Troy J. Johnson, 47, of Pamplico, South Carolina, was declared deceased at the site of the collision at 5:05 a.m. The accident took place near the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and East Buena Vista Avenue.
According to the Aiken County Coroner, about 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, a group of motorcyclists was riding on Jefferson Davis when one lost control and collided with another. According to officials, the second biker, the victim, ran off the road and collided with a guardrail and many signs.The second rider is seriously injured and being treated at a local hospital. The Coroner’s Office and the North Augusta Department of Public Safety are investigating.
