Fatal crash that five people – Bedworth trucker in court accused of causing death by dangerous driving
A lorry driver from Bedworth has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash on the M69.
Felix Gillon, 55, of Johnson Road, appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court today
He didn’t enter a plea but will appear again at Leicester Crown Court next month.
It follows the death of Kerry Pemberton, 55, from Birmingham, who was seriously injured when his van was hit by a HGV on the hard shoulder between junctions one and two
One of the vehicles shed its load across the carriageway during the crash and the road was closed for several hours while emergency crews cleared the area.
Gillon will appear at Leicester Crown Court
He is also charged with perverting the course of justice.
