Mamardashvili and Kvaratskhelia are two Georgian players whom Liverpool is trying to sign. They both showed excellent performances during the European Championship in Germany. The Reds are almost done signing one of the two players, if the most recent media claims are to be believed.

News: Negotiations held; Liverpool finalizes last-minute agreement to sign £40 million star The Star of today reports that Liverpool is getting closer to signing Mamardashvili, with negotiations already well underway. They might not be able to land Kvaratskhelia, though. The Napoli playmaker, who has been strongly linked to leaving the team, is reportedly nearing an agreement to sign new personal terms to remain at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, according to the British media site.

The 23-year-old winger was the target of French champions Paris Saint-Germain, who reportedly made a bid of more than £100 million but were unsuccessful.

After being urged to remain with the Naples-based team by former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, Kvaratskhelia will now turn down a move to Liverpool. The Star says the new deal is almost finalized. Giorgi Mamardashvili, Kvaratskhelia’s teammate on the national team, on the other hand, has already agreed to all the parameters of signing with Liverpool; the only things remaining before the Reds and Valencia can make the deal public are variables.

Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo are the Anfield team’s current left wings, however Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have also filled in as left wings when needed. Therefore, Kvaratskhelia’s addition as a left winger is not absolutely necessary. Rather, Arne Slot need to be permitted to acquire a defensive midfielder and a center defender prior to the summer transfer window’s conclusion. How do you feel?
