BOSTON CELTIC
Positive Health News for the Celtics Ahead of Saturday’s Suns Game
When the Celtics take on the Suns in Phoenix on Saturday night, they want to recover from their only other two-game losing streak of the season.
The Boston Celtics hope to avoid going on their first three-game losing streak of the season on Saturday night in the desert.
With a 48-13 record, the club leading the NBA rankings lost 115-109 to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday in what may be a Finals prelude. It’s only the second time this season that they have dropped two straight games, following a 22-point collapse two days prior against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Devin Booker is still out with a sprained right ankle that may prevent him from playing when these two teams meet at TD Garden on March 14. This is a big relief for the C’s as they look to regroup.
The health statuses of Boston’s Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have improved, making them available for Saturday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
The former’s right ankle impingement originally made him a possible player. The latter, who was once deemed doubtful for this encounter, is addressing a sacroiliac strain.
This is how the Mayo Clinic describes that injury:
An excruciating ailment affecting either or both sacroiliac joints. These joints are located where the pelvis and lower spine converge. Sacroiliitis may radiate down one or both legs and produce discomfort and stiffness in the lower back and buttocks.”
But Kristaps Porzingis’s right hamstring strain might prevent him from playing against the Suns. The seven-foot-three center’s availability for the game on Saturday is uncertain.
After missing the All-Stark break, Neemias Queta is back in the starting lineup. The Portuguese 24-year-old was recently forced to miss time due to a hyperextended right knee.
